Text Message Reminder Changes

For Active Volunteers that currently utilize our text message reminders:
We have received numerous calls from volunteers saying they are not receiving the text reminder from us when they are scheduled to deliver meals. The FCC has made changes that allows certain phone carriers to block what they believe are junk/spam texts. This has been affecting our text reminders and flagging them as junk. Due to these regulation changes, you may not receive your usual reminder when you’re scheduled to deliver. See below from the provider:
In recent tests, we’ve found instances of AT&T and T-Mobile blocking text messages sent from our automated system. Unfortunately we are not able to resolve this issue since this is happening at the carrier level, after it leaves our servers. Carriers do not share the details of their filtering logic, and they are constantly changing.
Please be sure you are keeping track of your delivery schedule in the event we are not able to send out a reminder. Additionally, this change does not affect the mobile app in any way, only the text reminders sent by the automated system.
