About Our Menu

Food quality and safety are very important to Meals on wheels. Several steps have been taken to ensure food temperatures remain within safe levels. Meals on Wheels meets health safety requirements in regards to food production and maintenance.

Our menu is crafted to incorporate low sodium products whenever possible. We use turkey and chicken products in recipes whenever possible to reduce fat. Meatballs, sausages and hot dog products are made from turkey; meat sauces include ground chicken rather than higher fat ground beef options. We also include dry beans, yellow, orange and leafy green vegetables at least once weekly for a more balanced diet.
